PAGASA Weather Update Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) across Visayas. 

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila, Visayas, Mindanao and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro and Palawan. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening will prevail over the rest of Luzon. 

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the south will prevail over the western section of Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to south with slight to moderate seas.

PAGASA Weather News and Update Today at 4:00 am, today, the Low pressure area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 230 km West of Ambulong, Batangas (14.2°N, 118.8°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting the entire archipelago. 

MIMAROPA will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. 

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the southwest to southeast will prevail over the rest of Luzon. The coastal waters along these areas will be with slight to moderate.

PAGASA Weather News and Update as of July 3, 2013 Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. 

Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. 

Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southeast to east over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.

The Province of South Cotabato and the Regions of Eastern Visayas, Davao and Zamboanga Peninsula will be cloudy with occasional moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Palawan, Bicol Region and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have occasional light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms. PAGASA Weather Update for Bagyong Lawin

PAGASA Weather News and Update as of September 27, 2012 at 4:00 a.m today, the eye of Typhoon "LAWIN" was located based on satellite and surface data at 350 km East of Calayan Group of Island (19.5°N, 125.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 205 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 13 kph. 

Cagayan, Calayan, Babuyan and Batanes Group of Islands will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas. Abra, Ilocos Norte, Kalinga, Apayao and Isabela will have rains and gusty winds. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience cloudy skies with occasional light to moderate rains and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional light to moderate rains or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to Northwest will prevail over Central Luzon, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino and coming from the Southwest over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

It is forecast to move Northwest at 11 kph.

As of September 5, 2012, at 5:00 a.m. today, there is no tropical cyclone existing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 80 km East of Infanta, Quezon (14.7°N, 122.5°E). 

The whole country will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over Southern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. 

Light to moderate winds blowing from the Northeast to Northwest will prevail over Luzon and coming from the South to Southwest over Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.

PAG-ASA Weather Forecast August 9, 2012 Update as of 10:00AM today the Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon. Luzon will experience occasional rains becoming frequent over the western section which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Mindanao will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms while Visayas will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to Heavy rainfall (10.0-15.0 mm/hr) was recorded over CAMANAVA and Northern portion of QC while Light to Moderate rainfall (2.0-5.0 mm/hr) over the rest of Metro manila. 

Moderate to heavy (7.5-12.0 mm/hr) rains is expected over Metro Manila and at times Heavy to Intense (10.0-20.0 mm/hr) rains within the next 2 hours. 

Residents in flood/landslides risk areas are advised to take precautionary measures and WATCH OUT for the next warning. Southwest monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm "Haikui" 

The Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm "Haikui" located 300 km Northeast of Taiwan will continue to bring occasional to frequent rains over Luzon becoming moderate to heavy rains in the Provinces of Ilocos, La Union, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas and National Capital Region today until tomorrow with gradual improvement of weather condition by Thursday and onwards to the weekend. Expect landslides/flashfloods in mountainous areas and floods in low lying areas.

Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon and Western Visayas. Luzon and Western Visayas will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the western section of Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail throughout the archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

June 28, 2012, PAGASA latest updates for Bagyong Dindo's center was estimated based on satellite and surface data at  260 km E of Aparri, Cagayan(18.3°N,124.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is  forecast to move west northwest at 19 kph.

Storm Signal No. 2 has been raised over Cagayan, Calayan & Babuyan Grp. of Islands, Batanes Grp. of Islands, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Ilocos Norte, Abra &and Mt. Province.

For the meantime, the following areas remain under Signal No. 1: Ilocos Sur, La Union, Aurora, Ifugao, Quirino, Benguet and Nueva Vizcaya.

The rainfall amount within the 400 km. diameter of Bagyong Dindo is estimated from 15 - 25 mm per hour, which is "heavy - intense."

Bagyong Dindo is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will bring rains over Southern Luzon and Visayas, especially the western section, which may  trigger landslides and flashfloods and possible  occurrence of storm surge over the coastal areas under Signal No. 2.

The PAGASA advises fishing boats and other small sea crafts not to venture out into the Seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon and Western Visayas due to the combined effect of Bagyong Dindo and the Southwest Monsoon.

It is forecast to move west northwest at 19 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon and Western Visayas.
