PAGASA Weather News Today


PAGASA Weather News at 4:00 AM today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 295 km east of Mindanao (08.5N, 129.0E) . It is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) across Visayas. 

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over MIMAROPA, Visayas and Mindanao. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. 


Light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southwest to south over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.

PAGASA Weather News and Forecast at 4:00 pm today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 160 km East Southeast of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (17.3˚N, 123.2˚E). Northeast monsoon affecting Northern Luzon.

The regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains. metro manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains. Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains. Thunderstorms are likely to occur over these areas.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to north will prevail over Luzon and coming from east to northeast over Visayas and Mindanao with moderate to rough seas.

PAGASA Weather Daily News and Update


PAGASA Weather News and Update the Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon and Western Visayas. Meanwhile, at 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm "HALONG" was estimated based on all available data at 1,740 km East of Central Luzon (14.8ºN, 139.7ºE) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest slowly.


The provinces of Zambales and Bataan will have monsoon rains. Metro Manila, the rest of Central Luzon, the regions of Ilocos, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol and Western Visayas will experience occasional rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail throughout the entire archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

PAGASA Weather News and Update as of February 22, 2013



PAGASA Weather News and Update as of February 22, 2013 at 5 a.m. bulletin said the northeast monsoon is now affecting Luzon, including Metro Manila. Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and the Province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Luzon will be cloudy with light rains. Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

The rain that fell on Metro Manila and parts of Luzon since early Friday is due to the northeast monsoon, although state weather forecasters said the weather may improve during the weekend.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail throughout the country and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

PAGASA Weather News and Update at 4am today, A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 300 km Southeast of General Santos City (4.5°N 127.5°E). Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon. 

The regions of CARAGA, Davao, SOCCSKSARGEN, Northern Mindanao and Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Mindanao and Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms. Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will be cloudy with light rains. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with brief light rains.

PAGASA: NCR Experience Temperature drop to 20o Celsius


PAGASA Weather News and Update Metro Manila residents complaining of cold weather in recent days may have to brace for even lower temperatures – as low as 20 degrees Celsius due to the northeast monsoon peaking at this time of the year. The tail-end of a cold font affecting Visayas. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon. 

Palawan, Caraga Region and the Eastern and Central Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms. Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will be cloudy with light rains.
