PAGASA Weather News and Update for Bagyong Emong


PAGASA Weather News and Update for Bagyong Emong as 4:00 a.m. Today, the center of Tropical Storm "EMONG" was estimated based on all available data at 570 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (25.5°N, 124.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move North at 22 kph. The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 450 km West of Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas (14.5°N, 116.5°E). 

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa and Bicol Region will experience monsoon rains. Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and the rest of Luzon will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail throughout the archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

PAGASA Weather News and Update for "BAGYONG EMONG"


PAGASA Weather News and Update as of June 17, 2013 at 4:00 a.m. Today, the center of Tropical Depression "EMONG" was estimated based on all available data at 300 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (13.7°N, 127.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move North Northwest at 13 kph. 

MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Northern Mindanao and CARAGA will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila and the regions of Ilocos, CALABARZON, the provinces of Zambales and Bataan and the rest of Mindanao will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southwest to west over Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
