PAGASA Weather News for Tropical Storm "MARCE"


PAGASA Weather News and Updates as of October 2, 2012 at 4:00 a.m. today, the Tropical Storm "MARCE" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 310 km West of Iba, Zambales (15.4°N, 116.7°E) with maximum winds of 75 kph near the center center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move Southeast at 07 kph. 

Metro manila, Central Luzon, Cordillera Administrative Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and the Provinces of Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Isabela, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya will be cloudy with occasional moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms. Western and Central Visayas and Zamboanga peninsula and the rest of Luzon will have occasional light to moderate rains or thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to east will prevail over Extreme Northern Luzon and coming from the Southwest to South over Central Luzon . The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southwest to West with slight to moderate seas.

  1. Typhon Marce now is getting away from Philippines area of responsibility. Good news for us. So we must still bring our rain coat and umbrella in case of emrgency!
