The Filipino Flash Nonito Donaire is scheduled to fight Toshiaki Nishioka (39-4-3, 24 KOs) in a 12-round WBC Diamond, IBF and WBO super bantamweight title fight at the ADT Event Center in the Home Depot Center in Carson, California on Sunday, October 14, 2012 Filipino time.
Donaire vs Nishioka will appear as the main event in an HBO double header along with Brandon Rios vs Mike Alvarado in the co-feature. Nishioka has not lost a fight since 2004 and in the last 8 years has fought 16 times, 8 of which were WBC super bantamweight title fights. If Donaire beats Nishioka who has successfully defended the WBC title seven times Donaire will prove he is the real deal because Nishioka is the best in the 122 lbs division.
