PAGASA Weather News and Update as of July 2, 2014 with a low pressure area embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), rains are expected to fall in the southern and central parts of the Philippines, the weather bureau said.
In its weather bulletin the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the LPA was spotted at 850 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.
Pagasa added that the Bicol region, Visayas, and Mindanao would experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains.
Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds blowing from the Southwest to West will prevail over Visayas with slight to moderate seas.
The regions of CARAGA and Davao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms. The rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest to west will prevail with slight to moderate seas.
