PAGASA Weather News and Update as of January 4, 2012 for Tropical Storm "AURING"


PAGASA Weather News and Update as of January 4, 2012 at 4:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm "AURING" was estimated based on satellite and surface data in the vicinity of Buliluyan, Palawan or at 210 km Southwest of Puerto Princesa City (8.5°N, 117.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is forecast to move West at 28 kph. Northeast monsoon affecting Northern Luzon. 

Southern Palawan will experience stormy weather. The rest of Palawan will have rains and gusty winds. Visayas, Mindanao and CALABARZON will be cloudy with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms. Cagayan Valley and the province of Aurora will experience cloudy skies with light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail throughout the archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

PAGASA Weather News and Update for Bagyong Auring

Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecasters anticipate the LPA will develop into a tropical cyclone as it approaches the PAR.

The LPA evolve into a tropical cyclone, it would be named “Auring.” Pagasa said Metro Manila, the Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains brought by the amihan (northeast monsoon) affecting Luzon. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.

As of January 3, 2013 at 2:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated in the vicinity of Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur (8.0°N, 126.0°E). Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon. 

Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa and Bicol Region will be cloudy with light to moderte rainshowers and thunderstorms. Cagayan Valley and the Province of Aurora will experience cloudy skies with light rains. The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail throughout the archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
