PAGASA Weather News and Update for Typhoon "SOULDELOR"


PAGASA Weather News and Update for Typhoon today the Southwest Monsoon affecting Mindanao. Meanwhile, at 4:00 pm today, the eye of Typhoon "SOUDELOR" (International Name) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) was located based on all available data at 1720 km east of Luzon (18.9N, 137.9E) with maximum sustained winds of 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 20 kph. 

Monsoon Rains which which may trigger flashfloods and landslides will be experienced over Mindanao. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Visayas and the province of Palawan while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to west will prevail over Mindanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest to west with slight to moderate seas will be experienced over the rest of the country.
