PAGASA Weather News and Update at 4:00 pm today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 190 km Northeast of Casiguran, Aurora (17.4°N, 123.5°E). Meanwhile, the eye of Typhoon "GORING" was located based on all available data at 1,390 km east northeast of Basco, Batanes (24.7°N, 134.7°E) with maximum sustained winds of 145 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 180 kph. It is forecast to move west at 15 kph.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Cagayan Valley and Aurora Province. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to southeast will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and coming from the southwest to west over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
