Watch Gilas Pilipinas to play vs Saudi Arabia in FIBA Asia Opening Day

Watch Gilas Pilipinas against Saudi Arabia when they kick off their respective campaigns in the 27th FIBA Asia Championship in August 1, 2013 at 8:30 p.m., at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay.

The match will be one of the eight games scheduled on the opening day of the tournament that serves as a qualifier for the World Cup of Basketball in 2014.

Reyes apparently picked to play versus Saudi Arabia to provide Gilas an easier workout before taking on tougher teams Jordan and Chinese Taipei in Group A.

Saudi Arabia is the lowest-ranked team in Group A.

Gilas will next face Jordan on August 2, then Chinese Taipei on August 3, 2013.

The other matches on August 1 at the Arena are the following:

Iran versus Malaysia at 11 a.m.

Jordan versus Chinese Taipei at 1:15 p.m.

Japan versus Qatar at 3:30 p.m.

China versus Korea at 5:45 p.m. 

Lebanon versus Hong Kong at 10:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan and Thailand will battle it out at 6 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. This will be followed by the game between India and Bahrain at 8:30 p.m.
