Jeric Medina is Eliminated in The X Factor Philippines Top 5 Elimination Updates. Jeric Medina was eliminated from The X Factor Philippines on Sunday, September 23, 2012, which was held live at the PAGCOR Grand Theater in Paranaque City, a week after Kedebon Colim was voted out and the group Daddy’s Home landed on Bottom 2.
As featured at ABS-CBN Channel 2 on Sunday night, Jeric Medina was voted out during the 8th X Factor Philippines elimination night, while Daddy’s Home landed on the Bottom 2 again, a day after the Top 5 finalists competed for the revival-themed performance night.
On the first part of the show, show host KC Concepcion asked judge Pilita Corales on what she can say on the remaining finalists since all of her hopefuls have been eliminated earlier. Later, ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ 2011 third-placer Khalil Ramos and teen idol Daniel Padilla performed, to the delight of the younger crowd.
After the commercial break, Ms. Concepcion announced the three names of the finalists that was ‘sure safe’ as of that night: KZ Tandingan, Gabriel Maturan, and Allen Jane Sta. Maria. This is the third time for Daddy’s Home to land on Bottom 2, while it was Jeric Medina‘s first.
For the showdown, Daddy’s Home, who sang Side A‘s version of “Tell Me” on Saturday night, performed first and sang “Against All Odds.” Jeric Medina, who sang South Border‘s “Do You Believe In Me” on Saturday, rendered his version of “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing.”
Martin Nievera and Pilita Corales voted out Daddy’s Home, while Gary Valenciano and Charice Pempengco sent Medina home. Since the judges’ votes ended up in a deadlock, fans votes became the deciding factor, which revealed that Daddy’s Home had 19.63%, while Jeric Medina had only 16.74% of the total votes.
