August 21, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. today, the eye of Typhoon "IGME" was located based on satellite and surface data at 320 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes (21.4°N 125.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 165 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 200 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 11 kph.
The islands of Batanes will experience isolated rainshowers with gusty winds and the coastal waters along these areas will be rough to very rough. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
