July 20, 2012 at 5:30 a.m. today, the Active Low Pressure
Area (ALPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 320 km East
Northeast of Casiguran, Aurora (17.4°N, 125.6°E). Southwest monsoon affecting
Visayas and Mindanao.
The whole country will experience mostly cloudy skies with
scattered rain showers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains
over Northern Luzon and over the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon
which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northwest to
Southwest will prevail over Northern Luzon and from the Southwest over the rest
of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate
to rough.
