An internal campaign spearheaded by ABS-CBN Physical
Security called “Ligtas Pinas” will be spread all over the country through
seminars and workshops on disaster preparedness.
The campaign is divided into a three-part series on the
three most common disasters that strike the country: Typhoon, earthquake, and
fire. It insists on the importance of one’s knowledge on basic survival skills,
emphasizing on the fact that in times of disaster, your chances of survival is
primarily up to you and what you know.
The Creative Communications Management tapped by Vice
President for Regional Network Group, Jerry Bennet, launched the once internal
campaign begun by ABS-CBN’s security and safety measures.
During a workshop headed by Martin Aguda on disaster
preparedness, Bennet was inspired to take the campaign to the regional audience
as these were the areas recently hit with catastrophes. Accordingly, segments
on disaster preparedness in the local TV Patrol were produced.
The Philippines is a disaster-prone country. Therefore,
basic survival skills should be second-nature to us during typhoons,
earthquakes, and other catastrophes. Sadly, casualties continue to increase in
number when disaster occurs due to lack of knowledge, skills, and right
preparation.
In time for the Disaster Awareness Month in the Philippines
this July, the “Ligtas Pinas” campaign will soon roll-out. Directed by in-house
directors, Paolo Ramos and Eric Po, the “Ligtas Pinas” series was produced by
Carla Payongayong, Cidge Laxamana, and Christian Abuel of CCM RNG together with
Production Supervisor Jaime Porca, Post-Production Specialist Teters Enrique
and Motion Graphic Artist Karlo Victoriano. The said campaign is under the
supervision of Creative Account Manager Tina Barbin and CCM Vice President
Robert Labayen.
