PAGASA Weather Update and Forecast for Typhoon "ODETTE"


PAGASA Weather Update and Forecast for Typhoon "ODETTE" at 4:00 AM today it was located based on all available data at 410 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.9°N,126.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. 

Batanes group of islands, Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan group of islands and Apayao will experience stormy weather. Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Mt.Province, Ifugao, Abra and Kalinga will have rains with gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. Metro Manila , the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest over the rest of the county and the coastal waters over these areas will be moderate to rough seas.

PAGASA Weather Forecast and Update for Tropical Storm "ODETTE"


PAGASA Weather Forecast and Update for Tropical Storm "ODETTE" at 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm "ODETTE" was estimated based on all available data at 790 km East of Tuguegarao City (17.6°N,130.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move West at 9 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. 

The provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas and Mindoro will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila, the rest of Central Luzon and of CALABARZON, Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to west over Central and Southern Luzon and coming from the northeast to northwest over the rest of Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest with slight to moderate seas.
