PAGASA Weather Update for Tropical Storm “ISANG”


PAGASA Weather Update for Tropical Storm “ISANG” at 4:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm "ISANG" was estimated based on all available data at 250 km west of Itbayat, Batanes (20.9°N, 119.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph. near the center. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting western section of Luzon. 

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, CAR, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and the Batanes and Calayan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over Luzon and Western Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to south with slight to moderate seas.

Watch out for PAGASA Weather Forecast for Tropical Depression “ISANG” at 4:00 am today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) East of Luzon has intensified into a Tropical Depression and was named "ISANG" and was estimated at 300 km East of Infanta, Quezon (15.1°N, 124.6°E). 

Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Babuyan and Calayan Islands, CAR and the Province of Aurora will have rains and gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. Bicol region will have cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over the rest of Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the west to southwest with slight to moderate seas.
