Bagyong Henry Weather News and Update


PAGASA Weather Forecast and Update for Typhoon Henry at 4:00 am today, the eye of Typhoon "Henry" was located based on all available data at 240 km southeast of Basco, Batanes (19.6°N, 124.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. It is forecast to move northwest at 24 kph.

Batanes group of islands will experience stormy weather while the province of Cagayan including Babuyan and Calayan group of islands will have rains with gusty winds and the coastal waters along these areas will be rough to very rough.The rest of Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the province of Aurora will be cloudy with moderate to occasional heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Zambales, Bataan and Western Visayas will experience Monsoon Rains.The rest of Luzon will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshower and thunderstorms the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over northern Luzon and coming from the southwest over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.

PAGASA Weather News and Update for Tropical Storm MATMO


PAGASA Weather News and Update as of July 18, 2014 the Southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon. Meanwhile, at 4:00 a.m. today, Tropical Storm "MATMO" outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) was estimated based on all available data at 1000 km East of Northern Mindanao (10.2°N, 135.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is forecast to move north northwest slowly.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON and the provinces of Mindoro and Palawan will have occasional rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southwest will prevail over the rest of the country with moderate to rough seas.
