Tropical Storm "GORIO" Latest News and Update


Tropical Storm "GORIO" Latest News and Update at 4:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm "GORIO" was estimated based on all available data at 100 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (11.3°N, 126.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near center and gustiness of up to 85 kph. It is forecast to move northwest at 15 kph. 

Eastern Visayas and Bicol Region will have stormy weather while Metro Manila and the Region of Calabarzon and the Provinces of Camarines Norte, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Aklan, Capiz, Northeastern Iloilo, Bantayan Island, Camotes Island, Southern Leyte, Dinagat at Siargao Island will experience rains with gusty winds and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough. The Province of Occidental Mindoro, Palawan and the rest of Central Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms while the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas and coming from southwest over Mindanao with moderate to rough seas. Light to moderate winds coming from the east to northeast will prevail over the rest of Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be slight to moderate.

PAGASA Weather News and Forecast for Tropical Storm "GORIO"


PAGASA Weather News and Forecast for Tropical Storm "GORIO"at 4:00 a.m. today, Tropical Depression "GORIO" was estimated based on all available data at 500 km East of Surigao City (9.5°N, 130.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 7 kph. 

Eastern and Central Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Eastern Visayas and Mindanao with moderate to rough seas. Light to moderate winds coming from the east to southwest will prevail over Central and Northern Luzon and from the northeast to northwest over the rest of the country and the coastal waters along these areas will be slight to moderate.
